Caledon Meals on Wheels (CMOW) and Caledon Public Library will be launching Bridging the Gap, a unique, 9-week multigenerational story-writing program designed to connect youth aged 14-18 with older adults (55+) through storytelling and shared experiences.
In this program, each older adult will be paired with two youth volunteers, who will work together to capture and document the adult’s life story. Through a series of guided weekly sessions, the youth will listen, ask questions, and write the older adult's story, which will then be transformed into a keepsake Legacy book. At the end of the program, each older adult will receive a printed copy of their own life story, a lasting keepsake for themselves and their families.
TEENS AND OLDER ADULTS MUST REGISTER BEFORE THE SEPT 15 Start Date.
